SP - DYNAMIC CLOSURE-RATE CONTROL (END-LINE APPLICATION) - Series 300

A unique DOROT control module, that can be added to any automatic valve. It prevents water hammer, that is generated by the valve closure, when it is located at the end of a long pipeline

The "SP" feature is added to the standard control circuit of float valves, remote controlled electric valves, and other automatic valve applications. During valve closure, the valves senses upstream pressure.

When the pressure exceeds the static pressure at the valve location, the "SP" Device instantly stops the closing process. The closing procedure resumes when the pressure drops to normal. In case of excessive pressure, the device re-opens the valve, operating as a quick-relief valve.

The above mentioned process generates the“closing stages”, where the valve automatically adjusts its closure pace to meet the hydraulic characteristics of the network.

Dorot Series 300 Electric Control Valve (’30-EL\TO’) is an automatic, solenoid control valve, activated by the pressure of the pipeline. The valve controls by an electric current or an electric pulse, opens or closes the main valve. The ‘TO’ device prevents damage caused by too fast filling of a drained pipeline. The flow rate will be restricted, until the network, downstream of the valve is full and then a full opening of the valve is enabled.
